Meet our Special Guests & Judges

Allyson Gail

Allyson Gail is a LEGO Artist and event manager who appeared as a contestant on Season 4 of the FOX television show LEGO Masters! Her LEGO creations have been featured in LEGO Magazine, The Kelly Clarkson Show, Beyond the Brick, Spectrum News, Voyage LA, BrickNerd, The H3 Podcast, Bricks in Bits,  Tips and Bricks, The Brothers Brick, KTLA, LEGO House and more! She is best known for her work with LEGO brick separators and LEGO food sculptures! You can find her on her Instagram page: AllysonGailBricks.


Suzanne Hansen

Suzanne Hansen is a visionary LEGO creator, engineer, and Scottish Highland dancer, seamlessly blending technical expertise with artistic imagination. By day, she is an engineer, but by night, she transforms bricks into extraordinary works of art.


A seasoned LEGO competitor, Suzanne has showcased her builds at Kern County Fair, Solvang Danish Days, and BrickFest Live, gaining recognition for her meticulously crafted Perry the Platypus and Up! House builds. Her Perry the Platypus creation even caught the attention of Dan Povenmire, the voice of Dr. Doofenshmirtz from Phineas and Ferb, earning a special review from the legend himself. As an active member of LUGOLA (LEGO User Group of Los Angeles), Suzanne is deeply involved in the adult LEGO fan community, constantly pushing creative boundaries and inspiring others with her builds.


Now leading the LEGO competition at the Yosemite Chivalry & Fantasy Festival, Suzanne is bringing her passion for fantasy, history, and masterful brick-building to challenge and inspire a new generation of LEGO enthusiasts.

⚔️ Competition Rules


Theme: All builds must follow a Medieval Fantasy theme, including castles, dragons, knights, magical realms, and more.


Originality:

  • Builds must be original designs—no store-bought LEGO sets or pre-packaged LEGO models.
  • Creativity and storytelling are highly encouraged!


Content Guidelines:

  • All entries must be PG-rated—no vulgar, violent, or adult themes.
  • No explicit or inappropriate content will be accepted.


Size Restrictions:

  • Junior Builders (6 - 17 years):
  • Young Squires (6-10 years old):
  • Entries must fit within 48x48 studs, 15 inches x 15 inches, or the size of a LEGO grey baseplate.
  • Height is unlimited.
  • Apprentice Builders (11-17 years old):
  • Entries must fit within 2 feet x 3 feet.
  • Height is unlimited.


  • Pro Builders (18+ years):
  • All Pro Builders
  • Entries must fit within 2.5 feet x 4 feet (to fit table size).
  • Height is unlimited.


Judging & Scoring:

  • Pro Builders (18+ years):
  • Judged by People’s Choice Awards—festival attendees vote for their favorite build using a manual voting station.


  • Junior Builders (6 - 17 years):
  • Judged by Pro Builders based on:
  • Creativity & Originality (1-10 points)
  • Medieval Fantasy Theme (1-10 points)
  • Level of Detail (1-10 points)
  • Structural Integrity (1-10 points)
  • Overall Presentation (1-10 points)
  • Total Score: 50 points max


Entry Process:

  • Builders must register in advance or on-site (space permitting).
  • All entries must be completely set up by 9:00 AM on competition day.


Awards & Prizes:

  • Pro Builder Grand Champion
  • Determined by People’s Choice, wins cruise vacation, festival prizes and recognition.
  • Junior Builder Grand Champions (Young Squires & Apprentice Builders)
  • Judged winners receive LEGO sets, festival swag, and certificates.
  • Runners-Up
  • receive special recognition and festival merchandise.
  • All Participants receive a “Master Builder of the Realm” Certificate.
